Youth Delegates to the General Assembly of the United Nations are young people included as official members of a Member State or General Assembly Observer's delegation to the United Nations General Assembly.
Since the year 1981, the United Nations have recommended Member States to include young people in their official delegations under the title and designation of "Youth Delegate".
While the exact modalities of the programme, including the mandate and duration, are at the discretion of the respective Member State or General Assembly Observer, it aims to extend the representation of young people in the United Nations. Youth delegates of the eightieth session of the General Assembly were received by Secretary-General António Guterres in October 2025.
Youth Delegates to the eightieth session The Department of Economic and Social Affairs listed 59 youth delegates from 31 Member States and the European Union for the eightieth session of the General Assembly.
